I just wanted to ask if it's possible to get a diamond certification for a single in the US?

Because when I go to the All Time charts in the US, there isn't one single that sold over 4 million copies and i've simmed the game a few years now

It's a matter of how long your song can stay within the top 100 list the longest. I've had songs that stayed on the chart for at most 9 months. I personally haven't had any Diamond certifications in the US portion of the game, but it's a goal. I'd say keep promoting the single throughout the years with TV show appearances and don't release new singles, as it can slow sales and have hype focus on the newer singles.

 

I can't answer your question, but it's safe to say it's possible, but hard to achieve.

Streaming will make a big difference to charting for sure.

What's your difficulty? This could be the result of the maximum sales output the game has in the United States.

 

You're able to modify the maximum sales output in the Editor. The United States max sales is 50,000 for both singles and albums.

Keep in mind that changing max sales for single and/or albums affect your and your competitions' sales.

 

Editor > Country Info > [Country]

 

I have my sales output for both singles and albums at 500,000 (for semi-realism), and with a modified database, I haven't had a single receive the Diamond certification, with Eminem being the closest.
