How do you hype a music video

Just wondering, I thought I new, but doing the promotion shows while a single is out and then doing a video still came out with no hype.

 

Is there something I'm missing on video hype?

I also have this question. I sent my artist to like 10 radio interviews before my single released, but the hype didn't go up at all. Music videos didn't seem to help, either...

Awards, its doesnt appear to work well with releases.

 

So technically a video's hype will be x number of weeks until dies down. Only if its goes viral will real life videos explode later on.
