Money Management

Hello Everyone!

I have a couple questions regarding how money is handled. My first question is about touring, when you schedule a tour and all the costs that go into it is it fully paid by the label? or is the cost split between the artist and the label?

My second question is about Singles and Albums and is similar to my first question; When I have an artist release a single or album do I pay 100% of that cost or do they pay for it? If I pay for it do I recover all of the labels expenses out of the profit before anyone else gets paid or how does this work?

In real life from what I understand of record labels, the label pays for all costs associated with recording and releasing the album or single. Once it is released they recoup their money before they start splitting it between the artist and themselves. Is this similar to in R2S?

Thanks!

Hi Latteralus

Touring is funded by the label completely.

If the artist cannot afford the fees for releases ghe label pays and reclaims. If the artist can afford it pays.
