  1. Limit the number of databases in your game to 3 or 4 Remove some items (TV shows, producers, etc.) from the database you usually use Save game before the 2 year mark, close game, and load the game These are what I can think of, hope this helps. Keep me updated!

    Complete Database

I don't think there is a download link to this database yet, but you're able to input this yourself. I do recommend creating a new databse by cloning the "RealArtist.db" database file, since it already comes with artists, and add them yourself. I'm waiting for this database to be released already :D
  3. I enjoyed the two topics on the Game Stories topic from 1.1.x Series. I don't mind moving that category to 1.2, or create a new one entirely. Entirely new sections to the game along with more members that joined from 1.0, there's a lot of stories waiting to be heard.
  4. Maybe we can get to see them. Can't wait to read your ideas!
  5. Seeing some mods are being focused on introducing real-life additions to the default databse, I wanted some mods to steer away from realism and focus on the community. I like seeing the idea of having a database that can be accessed by someone with a verified download of the R2S game and having a spot on the Leaderboards (to show that they have an idea on how the game works and proves they are not a stranger to the community), and can suggest including their artists, producers, songwriters, etc. and be able to download the database. Ranging from other players' custom vocal producers, TV Shows, and even award ceremonies, this could bring out the creativity and imagination on what the R2S community can provide for others. I'd like to hear everyone's feedback on this. :)
  6. As this idea came from Fairyboi's Retiring or dead artists forum post... To follow with that, having music publishing companies thrown into the game and have the similar functions as labels, with companies such as: Sony/ATV Music Publishing Universal Music Publishing Group Spirit Music Group BMG Chrysalis Music Having your label be given the option to have a music publishing company administer the licensing to their artists would mean giving the company a portion of the income, but should decrease piracy and boost streaming-related sales. You should also be given the option to create your own music publishing company to administer other artists' music, which should enable indie artists to start working on their music independently. With indie artists working on their music (which I doubt will be included in the same update as this general idea would be), it should attract labels depending on the quality of songs/albums released, and the labels' CEO skills. Having automated music publishing companies working with labels AND artists would mean that every artist has competition, and every label is competing with each other AND the music publishing companies.
  7. I'd say keep the dead artists' data in there, as well as having them on your roster, but remove the ability to make more music. If there's any music already made, you can still release them. With a dead artist having some music they haven't released, it should definitely boost the sales. I feel like when a band member dies, it should have the same effect on sales with a solo artist dying: sales increase. With catalogues being sent as "Off sale", and with streaming being a thing that's going to be introduced in 1.3 (possibly), buying catalogues of an artist should be negotiated with the label currently holding them DIRECTLY, as if you're buying the label out. Sony bought Michael Jackson's catalogue for $750M+, but that's because Sony acquired the Jackson estate's remaining stocks to a music catalogue Jackson was in an agreement to. Nevertheless, this is Michael Jackson I'm talking about, and with other artists being brought into the mix, I feel like Mark should implement the ability to create new labels as subsidaries and have them be automated, with a less functional AI as the other labels, so your label shouldn't have a grip on the game entirely. With that being said, having the competitors having 100% functional AI and your new 'labels' (more like puppets) having a max number of artists in your newly created labels, with additional challenges as having a less functioning AI. That would be interesting.
  8. This could open up to manually editing saved games. The possibilities on editing game files would mean a LOT of time being focused on making the new editor look visually appealing than actually put into editing. Surely, Mark can do this himself so that means it's not impossible.
  9. I advocate this. With streaming that may or may not be introduced in the new R2S update, the bump in sales should be more towards pure sales than streams, since tours do make more money with pure sales as well as merchandising, let alone tickets.
  10. Having this in RealArtist.db would seem a great idea. I'm supporting this. Having previous accomplishments would mean either inflating/deflating stock market value of a label, and having a new section in the editor, which can be tideous. However, I like the idea of inputting your custom accomplishments on your custom artists and having a set goal to break those records.
  11. Happened to me before, and it was a huge setback. As of now, there hasn't been any solutions other than play from the most recent save before the incident. You can change the value of your balance through a software such as Cheat Engine, but other than that, there hasn't been much. :-\
  12. Tours are a major source of increasing reputation in a region. They also provide artists a large sum of income. Depending on which venues the artist is being booked in a tour, it can increase their reputation with little or big increases. You won't be getting +3 or +5 reputation in a region if you're booking your artist to a venue that's under 10,000. If you want the reputation to increase rapidly, then go for the biggest there is to offer. You're able to promote the tour through TV show appearances to get the most out of ticket sales and getting a double on reputation increase, since you're going on a TV that's probably higher than their reputation score, and you're performing, which will already boost the reputation score. One tip (but most likely a loophole) is to book the same venue twice or thrice in the same tour to maximize both income and reputation.
  13. What's your difficulty? This could be the result of the maximum sales output the game has in the United States. You're able to modify the maximum sales output in the Editor. The United States max sales is 50,000 for both singles and albums. Keep in mind that changing max sales for single and/or albums affect your and your competitions' sales. Editor > Country Info > [Country] I have my sales output for both singles and albums at 500,000 (for semi-realism), and with a modified database, I haven't had a single receive the Diamond certification, with Eminem being the closest.
  14. This is a topic on what text to add to read when the game is simulating. I want to have information about streaming as well as how many #1's artists has, as well as chart records artists have earned, such as Adele with her influence and "alleged" release dae setbacks done by other artists to not compete with her album sales. Additionally, there should be some info about the R2S stats as well, such as how many members there has been, and how many times the game has been downloaded in a year.
  15. Move your saved games out of its orignal file to somewhere safe, then re-install the game entirely. Start a new game and see if it's having the same issues. If there is issues still, it's an issue between the game and your PC. If there hasn't been any, move your saved files back into the game. If the incident occurs, it's the saved file. I experienced this before, but on the scale of most games. Try saving the game before every simulation.
  16. This is more of a visual issue. The artist is still in the game, but not in the roster for Your Artists nor Music World. There hasn't been a way to fix it, other than make a new game and hope it doesn't happen again. I experienced this too, but would happen only when I select the artist database to be large.
  17. Self-explanatory, but the AI Control panel has the game automatically do it for you if you tend to lose track of your artists and their releases. It can handle your artists' single and album releases, handle their radio interviews, hype for their singles and albums, even arrange tours, and do music videos in a certain time that you don't make a music video for their songs.
  18. With Billboard's new streaming requirements for album-sales equivalents being changed from 1500 to 1200 for paid streams while moving up to 3750 streams for free-streams on an album, there should be events where some streaming services change their sales equivalents higher or lower by a small fraction throughout the years, much like the change in single prices.
  19. I don't have anything else to say other than re-installing the game, I haven't had this issue. This should go to Mark.
  20. By re-releasing, you mean an album or single? The game wouldn't allow you to re-release any music unless it's apart of a Greatest Hits album. I believe you're still able to release singles as along as you don't have other albums already scheduled for release. If I haven't answered your question, would you reply with screenshots?
  21. Could you also make the Delete button larger? Additionally, can you include a 'Mark as Read' option and 'Select All' button next to the Delete? I really missed the emails that said my artists' singles went platinum. Since there's much more countries, it should display that their single went platinum in their native country.
  22. I personally don't know what potential means, but I know that artists such as Beyonce and Adele have high potential, which could mean their overall artist status. If you want a single to sell the most it can, then aim for commercial. Commercial ratings over 80 on a single is great, but it needs Melody and Lyrics to compliment it (preferably score over 75 for both). The timing of singles shouldn't be something to worry, as there isn't any penalties [that I haven't noticed] when releasing singles around the same time. Releasing singles are just ways to hype an album (which in the game, doesn't) and make money to cover the makings of an album. Release as many singles as you want and whenever. Releasing singles before an album is something close to realistic, which is a +1 from me. Some artists release two or three singles before the album, and wait several months after the album to release more singles, but those are promotional singles. There isn't a way to call a single or album flop, but in my opinion, I consider a single a flop if The income from the single doesn't recoup the expenses I put a lot of marketing into it, but achieve less than Platinum status It varies depending on artists which I consider flop, but the more reputation and past success from their sales, then the higher the expectations.
  23. Starting off with the list of streaming services Spotify (36% of market share) Apple Music (22% of market share) (Google) Play Music (11% of market share) Tidal (10% of market share) Soundcloud (7% of market share) Groove Music (7% of market share) Beats Music (7% of market share)
  24. Should've been discussed in the Streaming charts post, but I feel like it shouldn't ensure good sales. Like how Spotify has more than 35% of the streaming market(source), limiting your music to a specific streaming platform should limit the sales output rather than increase it. I feel like it should increase the initial sales it would get if it was released everywhere, since people from other streaming services would flock to the particular service it was released in, but that's about it.
  25. You can take this to Suggestions category, but how about increasing the number of awards given during an awards ceremony.
