Award Shows

     I know Mark said he was working on revamping the award shows, but I just wanted to see if anyone else had this issue.

      Sometimes one of my artists release a record-breaking, super popular, 10 million+ copies sold type of single. And it may get nominated for award shows. But for some reason, another artist wins, who wasn’t even in the charts? Sounds like something that would happen at the Grammys, but EVERY award show has done this?

      And one of the awards shows has a Best Live Tour award. And a few times all the nominations have been my artists. But the announce winner space is blank, and the recap at the end of the show doesn’t even show Best Live Tour as a category that was on the show for that year.

Yes i get this problem as well. It definitely needs a rework and update, im sure this will happen when @Mark is back up and running on the code again 🙂 

I dont think that the awards are given based on Sales alone (im not sure exactly how its given though). Maybe this is something that needs taking into account when choosing award winners as well as album quality etc.

yes i agree! it should go based off of how long on the charts and what position it reached, cause some songs debut good then drop off completely or a song you never heard of or seen gets nominated.

 

the biggest bug is the pop collaboration category and even the standalone collab, it will add everyone elses collabs but none of mine never ever get nominated. and it seems your capped and 2-3 nominations???? shouldn't happen. maybe they will also fix and revamp the artists performing at shows and make it more strategic and resourceful.

Yeah I did point this out many months ago, I remember @Mark saying that he'll look into it.

👍 Yes, i think it would be good if it was based of sales, album quality and artist rep. 

Maybe based off:

60% sales

30% Album Quality

10% Artist Rep

This could then allow an album that has lower sales to still be eligible and maybe win if its a great quality album but maybe not the best selling. This also would allow albums that sell the most to win. Best of both, taking sales and quality into consideration 👌

Perhaps different award shows could have different percentages?

Billboard definitely should be mostly sales based. But a show like the Grammy’s should be more album / song quality based

This way, not every award show has the same winners.

Alot of the Awards are still not working. Various parts of it as still not quite right.
