My playthrough

Started a save with a bunch of artists from the get-go and a 100 million dollar budget.

Many big names like Britney Spears, Eminem, Christina Aguilera, Mariah Carey, Nicki Minaj, Kylie Minogue and more. Also a few alternative bands.

About to release my first album (Eminem); almost perfect numbers for the track list.

Debuted at #1 in the United States with Nicki Minaj in the album charts with her EP as well as in the singles charts, with "So Dam Pretty (Should Be Against The Law) featuring Jay-Z. Not quite number one in Europe (behind Tiësto in most countries, whose album and single came out in the same week too).

Oh yeah I started in january 2000 by the way.

Still going strong in week 4 but surpassed by my own records 😏

Meanwhile Selena Gomez her debut album is bombing hard lol. Not in the top 100 in week 1. Ouch.

Maybe I shouldn't have let her make a record at the age of 7... 😄

Ah there she is (at #3)! (this is albums)

Odd second week jump lol.

Oh and I just noticed, two Kingston 12 titles in the top 10 lol.

Eminem for the 4th week in a row at #1 (USA singles)

Even Afghan Whigs and Pavement get hits!

I guess I'm ready for hard mode.😃

Christina Aguilera has taken over the #1 spot from Eminem. She has it for two weeks now.

Pavement is 2nd! Big surprise with their lack of reputation.

The Afghan Whigs first album enters the US charts at 6. Not bad for a relative unknown band.

For a minute there I believe Pavement could make it to #1.

But Alicia Keys' new single "Youre No Good" enters in at #1, breaking my streak after three consecutive number one hits:

Meanwhile in the Album charts I got the top spot back with the entry of J-Lo:

The Afghan Whigs are steady at 6 in week 2 which is great, especially with so many high profile releases this week.

Eminem took back #1.

In the album charts J-Lo dropped to 2, and Pavement entered at 6 just like The Afghan Whigs did with their album.

They dropped massively by the way, from 6 to 28.

Mariah Carey and Christina Milian have started their album productions, and Shakira's album drops next week.

Gaga has dethroned me:

You can see the red letters at the bottom, that's the Afghan Whigs.

Nicki Minaj dropped out of the top 25 finally, from 7 to 26, in week 13. Probably time to get her follow-up single ready.

Shakira's album entered the charts at #1:

Eminem's Monument is dropping, it's 39 now. I wonder if it'll bounce back once I release more singles from it.

Wow, sales dipped but not for Pavement so they take #1! Never would have expected that. 🙂

Nicki Minaj is also rebounding 😀

Shakira holds the spot on top of the album charts. Pavement dropped to 15 but who cares they got a number one hit lol.

Success at the MTV Video Awards:

But Pavement did lose their top spot. Though their sales stays strong.

No top 10 spot for any of my albums in the U.S. Album Top 100. Shakira tanked from #1 to #18 in week 3.

Ed Sheeran keeps #1 for the second week in a row.

Pavement stays at 3 and Amy Winehouse's nearly perfect (rating-wise) Soul song enters the charts at 8:

Nicki Minaj's 2nd single will drop soon, as well as Mariah Carey's first single.

Beck's album promises to be great:

Meanwhile Mariah Carey's first single went to #1:

My fifth number one hit in the U.S.A. It's the first Monday in July.

Mariah is still at #1 (week 3). Great sales.

HFUahCF.jpg

Nicki Minaj enters at #4 with her second single of her EP.

Pavement drops off which is to be expected in week 13.

And my label finally gets some good news from the Album Top 100 front again:

Beyoncé has knocked Mariah off number 1:

EoUI1XW.jpg

Selena makes a nice entrance at 5. Nicki Minaj's song is not as big of a hit as her previous song.

Pavement shows surprising longevity and with Beck's single we have their Indie successor hopefully.

Mariah stays #1 in the Album charts.

Amy Winehouse enters at 3 which pleases me.

Got the top 3. Christina Milian's first single is 3rd.

And wow, Christina Milian opens higher than Beyoncé! #1 in the Album chart.

More awards, again one for Pavement, a Teen Choice Award for Best Single, Any.

mAshDPw.jpg

My label has 10 different songs in top 15:

ZKESkpH.jpg

Beyonce holds the top spot for the 4th week.

Eminem and Pavement again slot into 2 and 3, while Mariah and Christina Milian drop 3 spots each.

The Afghan Whigs do well too at number 11, and good songs don't flop I guess if you consider Tatjana Simic's hit in America.

This week I have 8 of the top 9 Singles in the USA:

J4kYc5r.jpg

Beyoncé on top for the 5th week.

Album sales are down a lot. Beck dropped off massively.

My albums are creeping a bit back up again:

SKgGiNA.jpg

Ed Sheeran got bumped out so I now have the top 8 records in the Singles charts:

kbWNfoO.jpg

Beyoncé 6 weeks at 1.

I could see Eminem and Pavement challenging for the top spot, unless some new releases come dominate soon.

This is crazy, I didn't think it would improve but it did: 9 songs in the top 10!

Christina Aguilera moves to #1. Her 2nd #1 hit in the States.

Madonna and Celine Dion have released new albums.

Still have the complete top 8.

Christina stays #1 but Eminem is really close behind in sales. Just 5000.

Got 5 albums in the top 15.
