  1. I found another problem with the non single songs charting, ive added it in another thread (linked below) but ill add the saves here as they relate to this issue as well.

The first save if from just after the album release when the song "dream" was a non single song charting and the second save is when ive released the song "dreams" as a single and when the problems occur for both threads (so between the two, you should see the issue with non single songs).

*The two saves are both zipped in the same zip folder!

  2. At number 9 is a song from my artists album, last week it was another song but now ive decided to release as a single and set a release date it just gets replaced by another album song. Why cant it remain as the other song and then on its release date (in 2 weeks time in game) it just become a single instead of a non album)

  3. Non single songs are so annoying 🤣 They chart higher than an actual single in some places (like at number1 all the time) and then when you release them as singles, they are just replaced by the next album song. Id rather it stay as a non single until its day at release and then it switch to a single. And then not have another song take its place

I have 5 members in by band, but only 1 writes the songs. But they all seem to have the same amount of cash in their individual finance section. So does the songwrritier not get more royalties?

Also when writing a song and selecting your writers, artists on your label have a 0 royalty percentage, is this supposed to be like this? Maybe this is why the writers in my band arent getting royalites as its set at 0

  5. The top selling is wrong, that its 1 week sales, but the top selling ones should show the total sales.

The longest number 1 only allows you to go to 9 weeks at number 1, any weeks after that it doesnt show or update.

Also I would like the top selling overall charts to make a comeback, its nice to see what the best selling all time songs are in each country. Now they are gone, i cant compare my songs sales to other songs (especially if ive simulated over 10 years)

  6. For @Mark

Some suggestions for limited edition releases:

    1) Limited edition albums (for both rereleasing albums as well as greatest hits albums)(would have lower sales as it limited and are only released on physical format, but they would cost x3+ the ammount of a normal album thats on sale).

    2) Box sets, much like above, they would cost a greater amount than a normal album (as its a box set of many) so maybe £30 and this would only sell a limited number. (Maybe you have a maximum of 250,000 worldwide you can sell for example). It would allow you to select multiple albums (rather than songs like a greates hits) which would form the box set. it would only be available physically. Main usage is to make money (as retail price would be high e.g. £30) rather than high chart performance

    3) Limited edition physical format singles. No matter when a single was released (1 yeear ago or 10 years ago) you are able to rerelease the single on physical format only (and again, your limited to a certain number, I said 250,000 worldwide above as a suggestion).

All limited edition options should have a limtied number of copies that can be produced (this keeps it as a limited edition release and not a major release, in addition to this, it prevents the sales going on for too long and affecting the code. Instead, by only allowing a maximum of say 250,000 copies worldwide (ive just suggested this figure but happy for it to be changed), this limites sales to be a couple of weeks at most.

The more limited edition a release is, the higher price you should be able to sell it for. For example, if you have the highest release possible (of 250,000 copies) then the maximum price you should be able to sell a Limited album should be say £30, if you only have produced 10,000 copies, then maybe it should allow you to sell it for £100. This would make the sale of these items worth while for the player (as even though they are selling a small amount and not charting, they are at a high price so make alot of money.

Limited edition albums should overall have a higher price tag attached to them (regardless of the rarity of them), the box set should have the next highest price and then singles have the lowest price (as its only one song)

It should send them on hiatus. Basically a stop while they train.

I just did music writing coaching and it works for an artist, is this what you tried?

The same happens for me, when I send a band to training they start a hiatus, but if I send a solo artist they can still work normally.

About how realistic the hiatus is, maybe there could be some intermediate point. It may make sense that while they are attending a production course they can't do a worldwide tour or even produce an album, but it doesn't make much sense that they can't release a single that's already produced or attend a late night show (even more taking into account that they can do those things while touring or producing an album).

I agree, I think you should still be able to release already produced songs whilst on this "writing Training"

Yeah I had my artist's single selling 12 million worldwide after the new update. For album, I'm nearing 10 million sales.

Yes,the same happens to me. I was playing with Taylor Swift with a reputation of a 99 in North America but the album debuted at #1 with only 107k sales.

I managed him myself, maybe that makes a difference. The record has a reputation of 100.

Thanks all 🙂 Ill give it a go on my save now and see what sort of sales im able to achieve
