    To be more clear. I will use the end of year report data in future.

    The way it works now is it only runs a rolling year chart so when they go off sale they disappear but feature in end of year data.

    Ah, I see 😁 Yes, it would be better using end of year report data 👍

    Im a little confused with this so I'm just asking this for clarification 😃

    As the year goes on, my sales increase and that puts it higher up on the yearly charts each week, so is this not year to date charting rather than end of fixed year charting?

    For example, ed sherhan stopped being in this charts as his song was over a year old. But my arista song was still less than a year old and therfore was still getting higher and higher on the chart each week I checked regardless of if it was a new year?

    Forgot to add the year is jan to jan. So was he not showing up on there in the yearly chart in 2022? It gets reset on Jan 1st its not a year to date but fixed Jan to jan year.

    So songs can't chart on multiple years?

  5. @Mark

    Ive just had a thought, this song seemed to do really well when it was a Non single song (when the album came out) and seemed to be in the top 5 (or even the #1 spot) in many countries worldwide for weeks as a non single song. Could this be why the sales are showing so high (could the sales have maybe carried over). And if so, why didnt this happen with this song but on my other songs it didnt?(e.g. the song called dream).

    The save for this is the following: (**its slightly into the future in time from the other save I sent in another thread**)

  6. This song ("Changing") was released 5 weeks ago, but my game seems to say its sold 11million copies worldwide (Picture 1) . I know this isnt true. It says there are 1.4 million copies sold in the UK (picture 2) but when i go on the number 1 history for the UK (Picture 3) it only sold 300,000 in its first 3 weeks. So its definitely a bug and is showing much more sales than there actually is

    I'm checking the venues to see if I spot some clear misplaces (I'm not checking them all so I might skip some wrong venues). I've found:

    • Abbasiyyin Stadium: Afghanistan -> Syria
    • Ahmed Bin Ali Stadium: Afghanistan -> Qatar
    • Al Hamadaniah Stadium: Japan -> Syria
    • Al-Ahli Stadium: Turkey -> Qatar
    • Al-Assad Stadium: Saudi Arabia -> Syria
    • Aleppo Int Stadium: Saudi Arabia -> Syria
    • Al-Gharafa Stadium: Afghanistan -> Qatar
    • Al-Khawr Stadium: Afghanistan -> Qatar
    • Al-Sadaqua Walsalam: Yemen -> Kuwait
    • Al-Wakrah Stadium: Yemen -> Qatar (now called Al-Janoub Stadium)
    • Arctic Fox Centre: Sweden -> Iceland
    • Arena Nord: Sweden -> Denmark
    • Arena Syd: Sweden -> Denmark
    • Beeline Arena: Burma -> Cambodia
    • Belgrade Arena: Belgium -> Serbia
    • Biljanini Izvori: Bosnia and Herzegovina -> North Macedonia
    • Bogota Arena: Argentina -> Colombia
    • Boris Trajkovski Sports Center: Albania -> North Macedonia
    • Čair Sports Center: Albania -> Serbia
    • Cali Arena: Argentina -> Colombia
    • Coliseu do Porto: Albania -> Portugal
    • Coliseu dos Recreios: Albania -> Portugal
    • Emirates Stadium: United States -> United Kingdom
    • Estádio Alvalade XXI: -> Portugal
    • Estádio da Luz: -> Portugal
    • Estádio do Dragão: -> Portugal
    • Estádio do Restelo: -> Portugal
    • Estádio Nacional: -> Portugal
    • Etihad Stadium: Australia -> United Kingdom

    Some of them are bugged and always have the country of the venue I clicked before. Also the flags are a mess, half of them don't correspond to the country. I'll continue later with the check.

    Etihad stadium is actually in melbourne in australia. That one is correct. (I know there is also one in the UK as well)

    Right now it can only be hiatus and solo while in a band, I can rethink how this is done in a later version. In theory it would possible but id need to think about how often it happens and could releases class, most likely not so hiatus takes care of this for now.

    Cool, I would love to see this implemented. I think it would be cool if you could release band and solo at the same time without being on a hiatus.

    They should get their royalties if they were a writer.

    In picture 1 you can see that a band member of mine called "Rosa" has written the song. Picture 2 shows it as a single, its also inculded on an album as well. But in her financial data, she has no income for writing, so she isnt getting writing credits. Really ill run some checks but this would be extremely weird because its handled completely differently from a few weeks ago. It wont clear the yearly data until the new year so only data added within the year is used. But it will only calculate the sales within that year.

    Im currently at the date 2nd Jan 2023 (as seen in picture 1). Ed sheerhan releases a album on Jan3rd 2022 (so within the year) (seen in picture 2). He sold 800,000 sales in UK with this album (which should make hm number 1) (seen in picture 3). But as you can see, my artist "DNA" are number 1 with 700,000 copies (picture 4). This happens with every country not just the UK. Ive also attached the save for you @Mark. I only noticed this error occur as 2 weeks prior (in in-game time) i noticed I was 100k sales away from the number 1 spot (which ed sherran had), then all of a sudden, when i got into a new year, he wasnt even on the charts anymore.

  11. The problem we had with year end single sales, that got fixed (where the charts would only show sales of songs that were released within the past year and not just the sales of songs in the past year regardless of release date). That problem was fixed but that problem is happening again with albums year end charts. maybe this wasnt changed last time with the singles charts

    I don't think they should. From RIAA guidelines: "Certification count begins at the track’s release date", so before it's released as a single the streams shouldn't count except for the album units and the non-single track. After its release, every track or video stream of the single (including the album version) is merged into the single release so further streams from the album track count towards the single.

    What doesn't makes much sense is that releasing a track as a single makes it actually sell less units, promotion associated to the single release should make it sell quite a lot.

    That may be the case for the USA (which is weird any way, why let a song chart on the singles charts if its not going to accumulate sales). However, around the world, including the UK, sales are still accumulated whilst being a non single. Therefore they should accumulate sales as it is more representative of the whole world rather than just the USA (1 country). And if they dont accumulate sales, they shouldnt chart on the singles charts (if they dont have sales how can they chart??)
