  1. I think it would be so cool to do a charity release. A song where the money raised will go to charity. You should be able to choose between a few charities and make a song for them. (There could even be random events that mean charity aid is needed). It would be cool if you could get a offer to be on a charity single or you are just able to make one yourself. The sales would eb higher than a usual song as its for charity

I think it would be superb, if there would be an oportunity to release live CDs or even DVDs from tours.

Yes!!!!!!!!! I love this idea. It would be cool to use a previous tour to make this album.

so what i mean is basicly they can have mental illness that might affect their attributes and their music and they can be addicted to a drugs which can affect their attributes and way they make music too, and they can die because of it and if artist made albums/ep/singles before death those can be released and they would gain massive hype because of it, or if they were making albums/ep in time of their death those albums/ep can be finished with features

Currently, artists can actually go on hiatus for depression so its kind of in the game already. But I do think this would be a cool idea to look into further 👍

@Mark I dont really know the rules of tagging but you should consider this topic. Making longer tours to make some serious money if needed. That be awesome.

I think it would also be cool if you can cancel tours early. Especially if your artist has just gone on hiatus for example 👍

Thats really odd. Does it stay that way? Is this after a new game is loaded and straight away or later on?

Yep it stays that way. Its a brand new game and I signed the artist from  band within a couple of weeks. The save is the same as in this new thread

  6. I did a solo contract for a member of little mix. I signed them to a 5 album contract. After a year, the band decided to extent their hiatus for another year, but this caused the solo artist to be removed from my label. Also, even if the band decided to end their hiatus, the artist should be removed from my label as i have a contract for 5 albums. This needs a real look at. See the save below.

  7. Think this is completley separate to the last issue with this. Ive just signed an artists that was in band and now as a solo artist, their coninent rep is as shown in the first picture below. But when i look closer at the continent (picture 2) there rep is much higher in europe.

  8. For Billboard, Apra, Golden Melody And Mobo awards, there seems to be lots of "Brits Best Male Solo" added to the end of the award shows. Just started  a new save/game, so its not something to do with what i did

Okay 👍 I think if you decide they don't accumulate sales as a non single song, then there isn't really much point in them being on the charts alrogether as they don't count toward anything.  Also, if they don't accumulate sales they shouldn't be on the charts as they technically have no sales to get a chart performance (if that makes sense).

But, if you decide they will accumulate sales, then it does make total sense being on the singled charts (as they getting sales).

    👍👍👍😊

The 1 problem is, that if the song does really well worldwide as a non single song (and accumulates millions of sales). Then when you release the song as a single, it will accumulate millions more sales on top of the already high sales, making it really overpowered.

I wont hard code specific rules for charts it will be one way or the other.

I am still thinking about this.

so i got this suggestion to make Album charts to 200 albums and make them longer on charts like look at Mettalica album or Nevermind those albums are on charts since they been released so i want something like that to see in game it would make the game much more realistic

The 200 album thing is really only relevant for usa. Nearly every other country I know only does the top 100 albums including the UK so its not really worth implementing for 1 country. Also, album sales cant go on for too long as it means slower loading times and the database will be too crowded with data.

I think the key to deluxe albums is having the sales link up with their origional album. Most recently, dua lipa has released her deluxe version of future nostalgia. Because of this, her chart performance in the UK (not sure about other places) has jumped and her album is now back in the top 5. This is due to the fact that deluxe album sales are linked with origional sales. This is the key difference between a deluxe album and re-release album.

A deluxe album should also only be able to be released within a year of the origional album and no later (to prevent you getting sales years and years down the line)

You need to name your database something else so its not overriden. The RealArtists database is the official one so receives updates.

Ah, okay. I didnt realise that 🤣🤣 Thanks for letting me know.

Another question thought, if you make changes to the database for patches (like you recently have for the Portugal venue error). If I won't be able to play with any changes you've made will I? So for the meantime (while your still patching and updating) is it best to not edit anything?

I could see this being used as an easy way to make money by the user but then again the user makes the game world however they like

I see what you mean. But in some ways, that's what record labels do in reality 🤣 That's why I was thinking limit the amount of production to 250k units (maybe this is even too much, maybe 100k worldwide is better?). Just thought it would be cool as many artists from the 90's are releasing limited edition versions of their hit albums and songs 30 years later.
