  1. It's been a while since I got a like from Toby... maybe he doesn't like Rock music. haha

I released a single from Bon Jovi: It debuted at #6, then dropped to #7, then to #8, then to #12.

I promoted it and it's a 100 melody 100 commercial song. What gives? It didn't make a profit. lol

At least the videos kinda did, making the lost money back.

Almost the end of the year.

We made $344 million dollars and I didn't even try hard.

We sold 89,8 million albums and 23 million singles.

I have 4,550 CEO points which would put me 4th on the Leaderboard. lol

Next: time for a new save (featuring Michael Jackson).

  2. Hi.

I'm wondering if strength of genre is working correctly.

I'm playing a 1990 test save with multiple bands, and I made some (very good) bands Metal instead of Rock to limit their sales.

    However, their albums did great.

Alice in Chains sold 13,65 million albums. (starting reputation 1).

Van Halen sold 12,8 million albums.

They both outsold Bon Jovi, who I manage too, and who have the higher reputation and more popular genre (Rock).

The strength of the Metal genre is only 6. And Rock 34.

    Thanks.

  3. Sting 11th, and Alice in Chains 21st.

No albums left in the top 10.

    Rush sold 10,4 million albums.

Alice in Chains sold 13,65 million albums.

Guns N Roses sold 14,2 million albums.

Pearl Jam sold 14,367 million albums

Bon Jovi sold 10,5 million albums.

Van Halen sold 12,8 million albums.

  4. I released a single from Alice in Chains. It was already in the charts earlier, as album track.

    Debuted at 10.

Guns N Roses and Alice in Chains are still in the album top 10 (7 and 8).

    Also got 13, 15, 16 and 18.

Released a single from Sting. It debuted at 8.

Alice in Chains dropped to 14.

Only Guns N Roses remain in the album top 10.

Sting dropped to 10. This is a 99 commercial song.

Alice in Chains sutck at 14. That's a 100 commercial song.

Guns N Roses 9th and Alice in Chains 10th in the album charts.

  5. Got #5 through 9, and #12.

Sting's album is 53rd. It sold 13 million copies.

It made $55 million, $34 million for my label.

The albums now start to drop off finally:

    #7, #8, #10, #15, #21 and #22.

  6. Bon Jovi from #7 to #2. Still got #2 through 7.

    fITPG3p.jpg

Bon Jovi back down to 7. Got #4 through 7 and 9 and 10.

Axl is back from hiatus. lol

    Got 3, 4 ,6, 7, 9, 10 (albums).

    Week later: 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 10.

    Week later: 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, 13.

    Week later: 3, 5, 8, 9, 10, 12.

The next week Alice in Chains is #1. Still got the top 6.

I released a Guns N Roses single. It entered the charts at 13.

It propelled their album back to #1. Still got the top 6.

Guns N Roses' single dropped to 19.

I got #2 through 7 in the album charts.

Guns N Roses' single climbed to #15.

In the album chart I have #2 through 6 and #8.

Guns N Roses' single down to #22. The albums go greeatly, but the singles not so much.

Got #2 through #7 again in the album charts. "Post Malone" is #1.

  10. Pearl Jam is the new #1. Still got 1 through 6 in the album charts.

Alice in Chains sold 4,6 million copies of their record in 4 weeks. It's metal.

They're second in the charts in between Guns N Roses, Bon Jovi and Pearl Jam. Amazing.

  11. Alice in Chains won best metal album at the MTV Video Music Awards. They were the only nominee lol.

Still four album tracks in the top 10 (#7, 8, 9 and 10).

Still six album in the top 6, but Bon Jovi dropped to 6. GNR back to #1.

  12. Rock music rules:

    KxAJ0Xr.jpg

    Sting down to #18.

Alice in Chains their reputation is up to 18 in America. Started at 1.

It's funny to see that Rush sold more physical copies than Pearl Jam this week, but they are way behind in streams.

I wonder if that's an age thing. Of their fans.

  13. The next week: Sting still #1, Van Halen drops to #24, Alice in Chains to #29.

The next week: A song from Van Halen's album entered the singles charts at #5.

Their single has dropped to #28. Alice in Chains dropped to #36.

Van Halen's album is #1. Sting dropped to #5.

The next week: A song from Pearl Jam's album entered the singles charts at #3.

Van Halen's album track dropped to #6. Pearl Jam's single is 14th.

Pearl Jam's album is #1. Van Halen #2. Sting #7.

The next week: Alice in Chains' best song of the album charts at #4. Pearl Jam is 5. Van Halen 6. (all album tracks)

Pearl Jam's single dropped to #15. Alice in Chains' single is 40 in week 10 (not bad for a metal song).

    Albums:

    7u76p6W.jpg

  14. The next week: Sting stays #1, Alice drops to #15.

The next week: Sting stays #1, Alice bounces back to #14.

The next week: Sting down to #2, Alice drops to #17.

The next week: Sting drops to #4, Alice stays at #17, Van Halen enters the charts at #12 (singles).

The next week: Sting back to #1, Van Halen drops to #20, Alice to #24.

  15. Sting went to #2 and back to #1 and stayed there.

Alice in Chains enters the singles charts at #11. I wonder if they plummet the next week. lol

Album of Van Halen came back: 96, 97, 92 with one excellent song on it.

By the way the strength of the genre is only 6. Of Metal. Both Alice in Chains and Van Halen are metal bands in this db.

  16. The quality of the songs of Alice in Chains was questionable.

And I couldn't get the best producer. But they came back with this:

    vTpXs85.jpg

Overall rating of the album is 96, 100, 97. I pushed the release date back so I can do a single first.

    Sting's album is out already:

#1 (500,000 sold, in the USA).

This is with low rep really.

  17. Hello.

I have a few starting artists (throwback), like Alice in Chains and Pearl Jam in my save.

I would like to have their records produced by the best producers (and vocal producers and mixers), but it's not possible.

I hope you change this. Would be great for retro sake.

I want Britney Spears to be able to debut with a great producer for example, with 1 reputation.

    Thanks.

  18. New save:

    ScGWVPF.jpg

+ Sting with lowered reputation (around 35)

Pearl Jam (Rock) have 1 reputation

Alice in Chains (Metal) have 1 reputation

Bon Jovi (Rock) have around 30-38 reputation

Guns N Roses (Rock) 50 and Rush (Rock) 39 (which is too high, I already know it)

Van Halen (Metal) have 15 reputation (might be too low, but I'm testing it)
