This list lacks Dire Straits that were still active in the 90s and it was a great band, AC/DC to.

you're right but mcaso already mentioned them. they will be included

I just got a notification that I've received some legend points during the gameplay. What exactly is this and how will it affect the game?

I think if you get enough points you can unlock legends (Michael Jackson, Tina Turner, etc)

So now a better reply. At the moment the game does not select individual members of groups for interviews etc. Now one of the reasons for this is you dont manage that member as you would a solo artists. If they take a hiatus and go solo for a bit then yes they should have those opportunities but will be listed under solo artists so you would manage like any other solo.

It does select them to be spokesman for Pride Events though. And then you can't reply to it and get many messages about it.

  4. The top 5 in singles stayed the same (so see above).

Albums didn't change much either. Whitney selling 746,000 copies in the USA in one week!

Her album sold 3,999,000 copies in 2 weeks worldwide!

Although I agree that would be great since not all the artist have the same appeal for concerts than for published material (especially as they grow older), I don't think it's realistic that they don't get in the top40 at their peak. For example Def Leppard (which you mentioned in another post) at their peak they had two #1 albums in a row in the US and most of Europe and a bunch of top5 singles (Love Bites #1, Pour Some Sugar On Me #2, Armageddon It #3). I think that is more of an issue of becoming outdated: their new music is not fresh enough to get massive success but their old music was successful enough to sell out concerts. I don't think a tour where they only play their new material would be that successful though, I'd be disappointed if I went to their concert and they didn't play 'Pour Some Sugar On Me' but new music that I haven't heard before, to be honest.

Well maybe I'm wrong about Def Leppard. You're right they had hits. But more in the 80s I think? (and the mod I make is 90s)

I'd love to be able to make for example the Stones with 100 concert appeal, maybe 80-85 albums appeal and 50 singles appeal. Just an example.

Anyway, I like the idea of setlist playing a part in the appeal for the tour too that you bring up if that's possible (maybe it already does?).

  6. This may be more of a suggestion for 1.4 or 2.0 if it ever comes to that than for 1.3.

    My suggestion is as follows:

    three new stats:

    - singles appeal

    - albums appeal

    - concerts appeal

What I'd love is to be able to create bands  that sell out concerts but don't get in the top 40.

    Thanks!

  7. Singles:

Michael Jackson time! He enters the charts at #1.

    Whitney 3, Bruce 4.

    Albums:

    8qkeDta.jpg

Angie Stone enters at #2. That's a surprise, considering how her single bombed.

Alice in Chains down to #11.

  8. Singles:

Whitney #1, Bruce #3, Kylie dropped to #23.

Her single does a lot better in Europe.

    Albums: no change.

Guns N Roses sold 5,6 million copies in 5 weeks.

Bruce Springsteen sold 6,3 million copies in 4 weeks.

  9. Singles charts the next week:

    1. Whitney (week 2)

    2. Bruce (week 7)

    16. Kylie (week 1)

    19. Angie Stone (week 2)

    35. Sting  (week 8 )

    Albums:

    W35T7GT.jpg

Not many changes. Alice in Chains is not as dominant as in my other save.

  10. Whitney Houston enters the charts at #1:

    e2VP5ia.jpg

Not many changes in the album top 8. Rush dropped two places, that's it. Still have the top 8.

  11. Bruce Springsteen back to #1 in the singles charts. Maybe because he promoted his album on all the talkshows.

    Albums:

    TcDPbzw.jpg

    I have the top 8. Bruce #1, GNR #2, Rush #3.

The best producer I could get for Alice in Chains was a 96, 60, 99 rated producer.
Let's see what he comes up with. Low for melody but we'll see.

The end result: 95 lyrics, 99 melody, 96 commercial.

    Good enough for me. 🤣

  13. Alice in Chains were the most productive again: 27 songs in 20 days.

They're the first to go into the studio. With poor to average lyrics again.

The rest is sent back to write more songs.

  14. New test!

    SGM3o6F.jpg

Michael Jackson, the King of Pop. almost maxed out reputation + Superstar tag

    vX6HSsH.jpg

Whitney Houston. average of 82 reputation, 90 in the USA

    qlUkkws.jpg

Kylie Minogue: just 13 reputation in the USA. a little better around the world though

    Bruce-Springsteen-GettyImages-75504097.j

Bruce Springsteen: he's a great in the game. 85 rep in the USA and 81 in Europe

    5760.jpg?width=1200&height=900&quality=8

Alanis Morissettte: not debuting until 1991

    and I also have:

    Angie Stone

    Def Leppard

    Weezer

and Template Importante (I use him as a template in the editor)

his ratings are 70 for almost everything but his current artist rating only 10 and potential only 20. Gonna check what effect that has.

    and returning are:

    Alice in Chains

    Guns N Roses

    Bon Jovi

    Van Halen

    Pearl Jam

    Rush

    and Sting

just to see if it was a fluke or not, the success of Alice in Chains.

I made a slight change to Rush: I made their current and potential rating 50. Let's see if it affects their sales.
