My artist disappeared

On two different save files, when i load up my save file one of my artists is no longer there. They're not anywhere in the game.

I feel u. It has happened to me at least a dozen times it’s so frustrating 😭

I just found out that the band members are still in the game, however the band no longer exists!😿

I assume Mark could use your save to test it whenever he comes back, I'd recommend you to post it here with as much info as you can (which artist was it? did you use a custom database? did you do anything out of normal before they disappeared? do you have an error log?)

So, game was playing mostly ok. Then single started duplicating for several artists, (Silo Mayne) and (SafeKept) both created artists in Real World database.  My label bought out another label, resulting in a massive influx of artists.  Saved game, came back, and was down to 3 artists, and all of my bands, but it looks like half of the data base will not load which had the rest of my artists and band members in it.  Ideas?

Just out of curiousity in case this ever happens to me, does immediately loading the backup file restore the artists? Something is clearly corrupting the database to have artists vanish like that so it'd be interesting to know if it is in the saving mechanism or if it is happening before then and the save hard-codes it in. But my backups are usually hours older than my save so it's possible the corruption hasn't hit that. Hopefully, I'll dodge that issue altogether though as that's awful given how long it takes me to play a week or two.
