Episode 1: Who is Doja Cat?

Doja Cat has been running the rap game for 5 years. Not only does she have the pen of a skilled rapper. She has the voice of an old soul with using her R&B elements and using funky pop infused sounds along the way. Doja Cat was signed to "ACA" at the time the newest and most hottest label at the time found by Ajalik Graham. On the day of January 1st 2021, Doja Cat was the first and newest signed to ACA and was prepared for stardom. During Doja start into the industry she wrote a EP with five tracks known as Nunchucks, No Police, So High, Control, Beautiful. 4 months later on April 12, 2021 she released her EP "Purrr".

Episode 2: Scratching the Surface

Purrr was mainstream and debuted #1 in the US and everywhere else in the world! It was had 3 weeks at #1 and stayed within the Top 3 within 3 months of it's release. But this EP was only the introduction to the decades new Rap Queen. Doja was doubted all her career due to what genre she was preferred in she was put in the books as a Hip Hop artist but was always seen in other mainstream genres. But this never stopped her. Doja made 790M+ off an EP alone which was indicating she was in for a bright future years in her career! Purrr is 7x Plat in the US but is 6X Diamond worldwide with an amount of 69,777,118 sales 4 months in her career not even a debut! ACA was thriving.

Episode 3: Obstacles

2 weeks after the release of Purrrr She also went on the "Rawrrr Tour" which was the second most highly attended tour in 2021. After this Doja had a challenge her EP was selling well. But what about a single? and what about a debut album? Doja also attended award shows and won 2 Awards in her debut year and she had a Grammy Nom for "Purrr" for best R&B album she lost in her first year but she did not let the biggest snub of 2021 slow her down. Doja was taking a break to plan her debut but she did take the time to plan her rollout and her EP still doing more and her singles blowing up a year after her EP was released.

Episode 4: Breaking Through

 

ACA and Doja came to terms with the hype of her singles and released every song from Purrr on August 16, 2021. Every single landed in the Top 7 and later climbing to the Top 2 while Control climbed to #1. Doja once again proving to the media she could takeover the female rap world as she lead the Top 5 and gained a #1 within her first year of being here. After that she took a break for 5 months letting her singles air out and to plan her next big mainstream move as all eyes were set on Doja Cat for that next following year and the next to come. Doja began to plan and tease for next album and it was later in July she dropped her promo single "Baby I'm Jealous ft. Ariana Grande" debuting Top 5 and peaking #2 after planning her promo single.

Episode 5: Lights, Camera, Action, Spotlight

After this Doja was realizing she could not maintain her reign or buzz without letting the world know who she was with a debut album. She began to write as she planned song names before and had many unreleased yet previewed songs. She also began to call some big names making this project. On December 12th 2022, Doja Cat released her debut album "Spotlight" with up to 16 tracks such as NAS, Hollywood, Milk and Honey, Treasure ft. Normani, Wavy, Mean Girls ft. Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj, Sugar ft. Megan Thee Stallion and many more tracks. Spotlight was the highest selling album of 2022 considering it was released 3 weeks before the ending of 2022 and went onto also be the highest selling album in 2023. Once again Doja was once again on top and proving to be a serious contender for the Rap Crown holder 2.5 years in her career. Spotlight is 1x Diamond in the US and 10x Diamond in the world with 104,154,480. She also broke Adele record with this era for the highest selling female album worldwide and the US and the highest selling album of all time worldwide and the US as well. 2 weeks after the album was released Doja went on a tour "Broadway With Doja'' also being a huge tour as it marked the 4th highest attendance for a tour. Doja also gained 1B dollars in income for this album. Spotlight was an R&B album with Hip Hop and Pop elements also. This album was #1 for 4 weeks as well almost beating the record for longest weeks.

Episode Six: Timeout & Time In
After a year passed and having the best album out and the biggest era of the decade so far Doja decided to cease on the planning of her 2nd album making her release 8 singles. 4 were released on June 26th and another pair were released July 10th. Weeks after Doja had seen her 2nd #1 with a Hip Hop track called Off the Record. Later in this year she also gained another #1 from her viral song NAS (Niggas Aint Shit). 2023 was Doja's off year as she was taking a break from running the music industry. Within this time Doja was the new it girl in the rap world and has been worthy to proclaim her spot as "The Queen of Rap". After this year has pass with no album. Doja began to plan her songs out for her 2nd album. She was fully in album mode as she had drop no singles in start or middle of 2024. On September 9th, 2024 Doja released her highly hyped 2nd album "Cloud Nine" this album had some collaborations by Taylor Swift, Beyonce, Chris Brown, Nicki Minaj and Megan Thee Stallion. This album was once again another walk in the park on the charts for Doja as she was stable having 5 weeks at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100. 2 Weeks after her album was released she went on the tour "Arctic Polar Tour'' which did well making her tour the second most attended. Later on Doja broke her own record of highest selling album in the world outselling her debut with being 1X Diamond again and having 114,599,101 sales worldwide. She also made 1.3 B. This era proved Doja dominance 3 years in as new rappers finally were rising on charts such as Megan and Nicki. Doja had competition but Doja was still outselling and outdoing. Doja cemented her legacy 3 years into her career with effort. ACA also became the #1 Label in the world and had been on top consistently and providing budget and going big for Doja Cat since she debuted in 2021. Cloud Nine won 2 Grammys and a Billboard Award for consistently "Best Album Any and Best R&B Album" at the Grammys and "Best Album Any" at the Billboard Awards being the first time in Doja career she won a Grammy and being the highest selling album for both 2024-2025.
