  1. During the third week, the single jumped to no 2 and then on the 4th week, into the oblivion lol. But my singles after this one seemed to be doing fine as always. Albums have been more than exceptional for me. I am charting at no 1 in all countries for 10 weeks or more.
  2. 10 singles later, my latest song flopped harder than ever before. Debuting at 1 then out of the top 100 on the 2nd week. Happened in most countries throughout the 6 continents. What's surprising is that this is my best effort till date: Lyric (99), Melody (96) and Commercial (98).
  3. Happened to me too! 17 May 2012. SavedGame.r2s SavedGame.db
  4. The save files: SavedGame.db SavedGame.r2s
  5. I can't seem to get past this message. Whether I accept or decline, it keep on asking the same thing? It doesn't allow me to sim as well.
  6. Do share your save files here for @Mark to have a look at.
  7. I wish that was true in my case but my album charted like 9 weeks at no 1 in all those continents. Eg: SOUTH AMERICA (BRAZIL)
  8. I spotted some errors in the worldwide streaming numbers. As seen below, the stream sales for the "Smokes and Mirrors" album are 2,169,106 but the actual stream sales are 19,519 only.
  9. Well maybe, but I thought you've made it more difficult to write songs with high lyrical ratings. I find that I can still produce tracks with high qualities despite of your recent update. And doesn't the continental reputation rating has some bearing on charting? I mean with a reputation of 1/100 my artist is basically unknown in that continent, but somehow the people there supported my album? I didn't even promote it there.
  10. I see. So this festival is genre-specific. Just find it strange that my artist have never attended any of these events despite having performed at many festivals, award show performances and other global events.
  11. Just to add, when my artist is in his 3rd year, the report for the 2nd year looks fine but the first year report becomes empty again.
  12. Okay got it, thank you very much!
  13. My artist is only popular in Europe (100% rating) and his latest album became a no 1 hit in every single country there is! The album only has half the hype, small album cover and I didn't do any marketing at all (social media campaign etc.) cause I was broke that time. I only did a couple of TV show appearances but that was entirely in Europe alone. ARTIST REPUTATION: ALBUM DETAILS: SOUTH AMERICA CHARTING: (continent where I had 1/100 reputation only)
  14. I have a question: What does this event supposed to do in the game actually? My artist has never been invited to perform there ... ever.
  15. I've accidentally turned off pop ups when starting a new game. Is there a way to turn it back on? I'm missing out mainly on the awards ceremony in my game ...
  16. Update: I simmed until 31 January 2010 and the chart appears. Only top selling tour data data seemed to be missing there.
  17. I tried a new game with the date 01 December 2009 and simmed ahead until 01 January 2010 just to see what happens. As expected. the end of the year report is completely empty. Funny thing is, this time I made a fresh installation of the game and began everything from scratch.
  18. Maybe in this game, the US and UK charts should be given extra conditions/rules for charting in order to mimic the real life situation. I'm okay with charts from the rest of the countries being as it is, it's the US chart that really bugs me lol.
  19. Yeah this happened to me in one of my earlier games as well. In my case, after the 1st year, the list looked correct but when I get onto the 2nd year, the data for the 1st year becomes duplicated (between highest reputation and most awards won). I thought @Mark has fixed this, but seems like it's still there.
  20. Yes it's there but it hasn't been implemented in the game yet.
  21. In this new game, I released an album, "Smokes and Mirrors" and I noticed a few things: 1) There are two album tracks charting in the singles chart. However, one of tracks, "Cotton Candy" was already released as a single 6 months prior to the release of the album. I suppose this shouldn't happen right? Because right now, the sales and streams for "Cotton Candy" are now being counted separately (as a single and album track). The single version of this song has left the charts (but not off sale yet) and the album version is now charting within the top 10 of the US singles chart. 2) Another issue that doesn't add up is the charting of album tracks. For eg, in this album, some of my album tracks with higher streams didn't enter the singles charts but other tracks with lower streams are charting instead. 3) These info are still being displayed wrongly for the album tracks: Last week's position (LW), peak, weeks on chart (WoC) and Song Details (under facts). Note: Reposting cause I think it was lost in the conversation above.
  22. I know that due to our previous experience, you've decided to limit the charting to only 2 album tracks per album to prevent too much of album tracks flooding the singles chart. I noticed that the 100th song in the US chart has 20,000 sales which require roughly 3,000,000 US streams (no CD or digital sales included), which means that at least 6,000,000 or more worldwide streams are required (assuming that 40-50% of worldwide streams are coming from the US). Based on this calculation, all of the tracks from my album have more than enough streams to enter the singles chart. So, it feels unfair that they're not charting since they're eligible here. But I also understand that if you change here, every other album tracks from all albums will enter the main singles charts like crazy. Therefore, I suggest that the requirement for album tracks to enter the singles chart should be raised higher, meaning greater streams to sales ratio (not using the 1: 150, maybe 1:1250 or something). But the limit of two per album should be removed in my opinion cause these days some artists even debut their entire album in the singles charts.
  23. I think it's the game mechanics itself. Relating to that inconsistent single charting as seen in real life maybe? But it can also be a bug, we never know lol.
  24. It's also showing on the artist page at "View single data".
  25. Never mind this. I restarted and it's working fine now.
